We loved building our home with Southwind.

We had a very specific type of home in mind a little over a year ago when we decided to move to Hugo. There were not many pre-existing homes in the area that met our standards. So we decided to interview different builders in the area and clicked with Larry Alm (Owner) right away. He listened as we described what our needs were, walked us through a few of his model homes, then listened some more and offered great suggestions. The design phase was very exciting for my wife and I. Southwind would give us a draft of the house plan to bring home, discuss, and mark-up with changes or different ideas. We would then bring those back to talk about and get another draft until we were convinced this was our dream house. Most people we had been talking with that had built their own houses kept warning us about the stress of building and the need to stay on top of the builder. We had the complete opposite experience with Southwind. It was a very enjoyable process throughout, from the first meeting through moving in. We appreciated the constant communication from Bonnie in the office. And Jim was great on the job site. He would always make time to bring us through the house and answer our questions.

Now that we are living in our custom built home, we don’t envision moving for a long, long time. But if we do, we wouldn’t hesitate to build with Southwind again.
